Aside from that, summer generally has good weather so there are fewer chances of cancellations of the event.

But we also know that summer is the warmest season of the year. It is therefore important that you dress, not only for the occasion, but also for the season. So what should you wear during a summer wedding? Below are a few tips.

- Choose clothes with breathable fabrics. This is an obvious choice if you are to attend a summer wedding, or even if you’re the one celebrating it. Again, summers tend to be hot so your clothes should keep you cool all the time. Clothes made of light cotton or those made of synthetic yet breathable fabric should be good for you.
- Wear bright clothes. Summer is the season for wearing bright clothes so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t wear one. But aside from making you look good, wearing bright clothes also helps in reflecting heat away from your body. That way, you also keep cool during the length of the ceremony.
- Wear a hat. This is especially the case for women and during outdoor weddings. Having a hat keeps heat off your head as well as sunlight from your eyes. Outdoor summer weddings are great opportunities for ladies to wear their colorful summer hats.
- Mind the invitation. Some people look at their clothes as a statement of their personality. However, keep in mind that there are couples who choose to have a dress code for everyone attending the wedding. So if you’re invited to one, make sure that you read the invitation well unless you want to stick out like a sore thumb the wrong way.

In sum, choosing a dress for a summer wedding is all about being comfortable and stylish. However, you should also be careful about dress codes because you might attract unwarranted attention to yourself if you overlook it.
